Vein cushion
Decubitus occurs on the heels in more than a third of the cases. Nevertheless, heel decubitus in your residents/patients is easy to prevent.
The back of the heel has a lot of pressure to endure. A good pressure-reducing mattress and special vein cushions can prevent this. By placing the lower leg and calf on a cushion, it is possible to reduce the pressure on the heel. We call this the ‘freeing’ or ‘floating’ of the heel. Tempur-Med’s anatomically shaped vein cushions are excellent for relieving pressure on the heel.
This cushion is available in the following dimension 50 x 75 x 15/0 cm (reference THKI).
